Has anyone noticed that it has become increasingly difficult to identify many actresses and models’ ethnicity? There was a time when advertisers went to great lengths to have an equal distribution of black, white, Asian and Hispanic, etc. Now there are moments when one can’t tell if they are looking at Shakira, Beyonce or Jessica Alba. Being ethnically ambiguous and/or exotic has tremendous appeal among the 25-year-old and younger demographic of Gen Y, the most diverse population in America’s history. It may be politically incorrect to state that multiracial people tend to be hotter than average, but hybrid vigor has to count for something! Look at these women and say otherwise.

Ethnic Mix: Tanzanian, Swedish
Claim to Fame: After being discovered by 2007 Playmate of the Year Sara Jean Underwood at a store Ida was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for March 2008. In 2009, the Tanzanian born daughter to a Tanzanian mother and a Swedish father became the first African-born Playmate of the Year.

Ethnic Mix: Portuguese, Chinese, Norwegian and English.
Claim to Fame: Sporting some of the sexiest lips in Hollywood the Australian-born beauty has made a name for herself playing tough girl roles in Battlestar Galactica: Razor and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. She’s currently on CW’s Melrose Place, she’s the only excuse you have for watching that show.
#8: Amerie
Ethnic Mix: African-American and Korean
Claim to Fame: The 29-year-old has been a staple on the r&B and pop charts since 2002. You may remember her biggest hit “1 Thing” which was featured on the soundtrack to Hitch. Amerie easily has some of if not the best legs in the entertainment industry.

Ethnic Mix: Singaporean, Chinese and Portuguese
CLAIM TO FAME: Born in Australia. Jessica set the modeling world on fire with her ridiculously curvy body in the 2008 and 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Editions.

Ethnic Mix: English, Jamaican, and Indian.
Claim to Fame: This veteran of Complex’s 2007 Style & Design special was also recently featured in our weekly Model Monday spotlight. We’re gonna go ahead and keep covering her ’til you get sick of looking at her.
#5: Nicole Scherzinger
Ethnic Mix: Filipino, Russian and Hawaiian.
Claim to Fame: The only lead singer for the popular, but musically challenged Pussycat Dolls. Nicole took a stab at solo stardom, but it went bust because no one cared enough to learn how to pronounce her last name.
#4: Shakira
Ethnic Mix: Lebanese, Spanish and Italian.
Claim to Fame: At just 4′11″ Shakira is one the world’s biggest and sexiest female stars. Despite sounding like a dying goat on her English records, she manages time and time again to top the charts with guilty pleasure tunes.

Ethnic Mix: Dutch, Chinese, Indonesian and Jamaican
Claim to Fame: Best known for her role as Lana Lang on the American television series Smallville, Kristin is one of the most underrated hotties in Hollywood. That might be design considering Kristin is on record saying she isn’t wrapped up in the Hollywood way of life.

Ethnic Mix: African-American, Mexican, West Indian and Filipino.
Claim to Fame: Cassie first hit the scene with her hypnotic hit “Me & U” and hasn’t had any follow up hits since due to fact she can’t sing. Britney Spears sounds like Aretha Franklin in comparison. In fact, not only is she a singer who can’t sing, she’s currently sporting a half-shaved head, and is willingly having sex with P.Diddy. That’s should be enough to turn your back on her, but look at her. She’s one of the most drop dead beautiful women to ever exist.

Claim to Fame: Arguably the hottest export from Brazil ever. The supermodel broke millions of hearts, including mine, when some douche married and then knocked her up.
